A new WordPress site in 4 — 8 weeks. Custom theme. Sub-1s LCP. WCAG AA. Editors trained.

A senior engineer rebuilds your WordPress site end-to-end — discovery, custom Gutenberg theme, hand-built blocks, content migration, admin training, launch. Fixed from $7,500. Three measurable outcomes are written into the SOW on day one: sub-1s mobile LCP, WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, plugin count under 12. Miss any one on launch day and the back-half invoice is voided.

The Launch Sprint is a 4–8 week, fixed-price WordPress rebuild by one senior engineer. Custom Gutenberg theme, hand-built blocks, content migration, admin training, public benchmark on launch day. From $7,500. Three SOW-written outcomes: sub-1s LCP, WCAG 2.2 AA, plugins under 12. 12-month foundation warranty.

Why teams book this

The decision · rebuild vs. patch

You inherited a WordPress site built on a page builder by an agency that no longer answers email. Twenty-seven active plugins. LCP is 4 s on mobile. Your marketing manager can't change a heading without breaking a layout. Every quote you've asked for is either "another Divi flip" for $3k or a "headless rebuild" for $80k. Neither fits.

A Launch Sprint is the third option. One engineer, four to eight weeks, fixed bid. We rebuild the foundation — custom Gutenberg theme, hand-built ACF blocks, sane plugin set — and ship a measurably faster, measurably more accessible, measurably more editable site. The page builder goes away. The plugin sprawl goes away. The "we can't change anything without a developer" problem goes away. The agency lock-in goes away. You own everything that ships, including the code, in a repository you control.

SOW-named metrics

Outcome-tied pricing: sub-1s mobile LCP, WCAG 2.2 AA pass, plugin count under 12, and the eight target templates are written into the SOW on W1. If launch-day verification leaves any one of those open, the back-half invoice is voided — you keep what we built and pay only the deposit. 12-month foundation warranty: if the theme code we shipped breaks on a core / PHP update inside that window, fix is at cost. Doesn't cover plugin updates you install yourself, page-builder reintroductions, or content edits that introduce regressions.

FAQ · Five

Answer-first
Q1
Why not just fix what's broken instead of rebuilding?

Sometimes that's right — and that's what the Performance Rescue and Accessibility Sprint are for. A Launch Sprint is the right call when the foundation itself is the problem: page builder, 25+ plugins, themes you can't update without breaking layouts, editor workflow rot, no clear ownership. If you're not sure, the Audit Sprint gives you a written rebuild-or-patch recommendation in 7 days.

Q2
What about the existing content / SEO / links?

Content migrates from the existing site, URL structure preserved by default. 301 redirects mapped where slugs must change. Schema + meta-descriptions audited and improved. Sitemap + robots.txt + Search Console submission included. SEO equity loss on the rebuild is typically 0 — 5 % short-term and recovered within 60 days when the site is faster and more accessible.

Q3
Who designs the visual look?

If you have a brand kit (logo, typography, color palette, voice), I work from it. If you don't, the Launch Sprint isn't a design service — add a Brand Sprint with a partner designer ($2.5k — $6k typical) or bring your own designer. The engineering work assumes the visual direction is decided; rework on aesthetic preferences after W3 is handled as a Change Order.

Q4
What happens after launch?

30-day post-launch support is included: bug fixes, small content tweaks, deploy questions, anything that came up during the first month live. After that, regular changes are handled either by your team (the runbook is plain-language) or under the Care Plan retainer ($600 — $1,800 / mo). The 12-month foundation warranty stays in effect either way.

Q5
Can I keep my existing host / plugins / page-builder?

Host: yes if it's reasonable (Kinsta, WP Engine, Rocket.net, Cloudways, SiteGround, Pressable). Plugins: only the ones that survive the W2 audit — most page-builder sites lose 60 — 80 % of their plugin count. Page-builder: no. The Launch Sprint replaces the page-builder runtime with a custom Gutenberg theme; that's the whole point. If you need the page-builder for some reason, this isn't the right service.
