In 2026, AI-generated portfolios are ambient noise. This page exists so you can verify in three clicks that I am a real engineer with a real history, a real timezone, real opinions, and real refusals.
I have built and maintained custom WordPress sites for B2B services since 2022. Most of my work has shipped under the Staxo Group masthead — twelve clients across finance, security, consulting, and engineering. I take direct engagements since 2023, capped at three concurrent. I am the only person on every project unless explicitly named otherwise in the SOW.
I build and maintain custom WordPress sites for B2B services in finance, security, and consulting. Most of my clients are companies between £1m and £30m revenue, with a small in-house marketing team and no dedicated developer. I work in English. I bill in USD.
Refusing publicly is the strongest qualification signal there is. If your project sits in the third column, recommend someone — I can usually name two.
Every page builder I have audited has shipped 600 KB+ of render-blocking JS for a four-block landing page. Custom Gutenberg + ACF blocks are 4 KB of CSS and 0 KB of JS. The math is not interesting.
An average Pixy site ships with 8 — 12 plugins. The average WP site in HTTP Archive ships 27. The delta is debt.
Every launch ships with a public PageSpeed Insights URL. Numbers are dated, reproducible, and posted on /benchmark ↗.
Manual keyboard pass + manual NVDA pass + axe-core. Known issues are listed publicly on /accessibility ↗.
If your marketing manager has to call me to change a heading, the build failed. Handover includes a 60-min admin training recorded as Loom.
Without runbook + Loom, the work isn't done. Without admin training, the site decays. I treat the handover as a deliverable, not an afterthought.
I use AI tools — Claude (Sonnet), Cursor, Copilot — for scaffolding, refactoring, and code review. Every line of production code is read, tested, and signed off by me. AI does not write copy, decide accessibility, or choose architecture. Every case study carries an explicit AI usage block with the same fields, so you can audit per-engagement.
